When the Day is Done

When the day is done,
When the curtain closes,
Will I prove to be the one You saved me for?
Will I be seen as “upholding your will”?
Will I have given everything I had for Your name?

When the lights go down,
When the air becomes cool,
Will my decisions have reflected my devotion?
Will my heart prove obedience?
Will I be less
and You be more?

When I lay down to rest,
When my life is laid bare,
Will Peace blanket my face?
Will I be found dethroned?
Will my crown be cast
with no emphasis on it’s number of jewels?
